Also I found it difficult to believe some of the plot twists, as well the number of real historical characters met by Mireille (she started to remind me of Forest Gump). This book can be difficult to read and keep track of all the players-it would have been helpful to have some additional appendixes to keep track of characters, historical time frame and some scientific history.
